NBA增設回放中心裁判 新球季實施

據NBA英文官網報導，聯盟理事會已經做出決定，在即將開始的NBA新賽季開始，在回放中心會設有裁判，在某些特定情況下，可以直接做出裁判，將可提昇球賽效率。
 
報導說，回放重播中心將會至少安排一名現役NBA裁判，最多的時候會有4位。依照新的規定，是否需要對判罰動作進行回放重播依舊是由球場上的裁判來決定，在錄影重播回放中心的裁判做出最終的判罰，會把消息傳達到場上的當值主裁判，再由主裁判進行吹罰。另外2名裁判將會留在場上準備繼續比賽。
 
回放重播中心的執罰權力是有限的，當出現以下8種情況的時候，他們可以直接在回放中心做出判罰：
 
1.判定進球是2分還是3分球
 
2.單節結束前的壓哨球出手是否超時
 
3.球是否出界
 
4.已經命中的球有否超時
 
5.是否有干擾投籃
 
6.無犯規或無違例情況下調整計時器
 
7.重置24秒進攻時間
 
8.場上球員人數判定
